Our Mission

Help early-stage startups grow, recruit, hire, and stay true to their values and culture. Provide timely information and resources that help founders, CEOs, and hiring teams save valuable money and time. Listen to our audience and adjust as requested.

Nail Your Employer Brand

As a startup, your competition for talent includes large and well-known companies, other startups, and all companies in between. Your candidates have options. You need a message that answers: “Why work for your startup?” Make sure your message:

  • Is compelling, memorable, and believable

  • Reflects your true style and environment

  • Is relatable, attractive, and fun

  • Stands out from your competition

You are not trying to appeal to everyone, just the people you want on your team. Testimonials, videos, and images will make your message more believable and engaging. Answer the these questions:

  • What is your vision, mission, values and culture?

  • Who is on your team and what makes them successful?

  • What makes your employees important?

  • In what ways is your startup challenging and fun?

  • How does the future look?

Some great tips and examples by Neelie Verlinden with AIHR.

  1. Have your team develop your employer brand with you.

    • It will come out better and you will learn a lot.

  2. Ensure your interview team and employees know your brand and can enthusiastically describe it.

  3. Ask candidates what they think and feel about you employer brand.

    • See if they studied it and how it resonates with them.

"Helping people develop a healthy frame of mind for success in life." - Shami

Mental health and the emotional and personal sides of leading a startup are too often overlooked as key elements of the company's success and a person's well being. This is where Shami shines.
